Being a progressive in Michigan is relatively painless compared to being one in Oklahoma, Tenessee or Utah; in fact it is one of the advantages in living in a state with an otherwise depressed economy, frequent gloomy weather (although the summers are nice), and a relative lack of outsized attractions that would persuade people to visit me. Nevertheless, as a swing state, and recent victim of the Republican crawl back to power we certainly have our share of regressive thinking, and I think I'll share with my fellow Kossacks an example of this
